Shifa offers an extensive array of services through its various departments such as general medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, orthopaedics, dermatology and cosmetology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, radiology and general surgery, as well as supporting services optometry, audio and speech therapy, echocardiogram, physiotherapy and much more.
Its dermatology and cosmetology department provides an array of procedures including electrocautery, intralesional injections, skin biopsy, excisions, microdermabrasion, chemical peeling and laser treatment for scars etc.
It also provides pre-marital and pre-employment medical checkups as well as affordable IVF (in-vitro fertilisation) treatment.
During the time of the Covid-19 pandemic Shifa provides patients and visitors with a safe hospital experience which operates in compliance with all precautionary measures and protocols laid out by the Health Ministry.
The centre has also been conducting RT-PCR tests to detect coronavirus at its own laboratory at a minimal cost and even conducts tests for symptomatic cases in collaboration with the Public Health.
Additionally, Shifa offers antibody tests for those who have been inoculated against Covid-19 or those who have recovered from the virus and offers patients who have overcome Covid-19, a complete examination to locate, treat and monitor the complications that may appear once the acute phase of the disease has passed. For this, the medical centre offers two post-Covid packages at an affordable cost.
The centre has spacious car parking facilities and also offers valet parking.
It has three pharmacies located on the ground floor, first floor and second floor, the first of which operates around the clock.
Shifa houses one of the leading labs in the kingdom that is embedded with modern machinery capable of performing intricate investigations while its radiology department is equipped with 64 slice CT scan, digital mammography, digital x-ray and much more.
Supported by a dedicated medical, nursing and service staff, the team at Shifa is well experienced in different streams of medical care from world-class universities and hospitals.
The centre’s general medicine department has 13 general physicians and four internal medicine specialists in addition to a total of 24 specialists in all streams including three specialists in pediatrics. It also has three consultants in family medicine, radiology and gynaecology.
Shifa’s dental department is located in a different building and led by nine dentists who also offer specialty care in orthodontics, prosthodontics and periodontics.
A vast majority of the centre’s patients are Bahrainis and the medical centre is known to be one of the biggest hopes for people with a lower income.
